"December 7th, 1941, a date which will live in infamy" These words, spoken by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, mark a day in our nation’s history we shall never forget. Please join other legions and patriots by raising your American Flags on Monday, December 7th at 0730 and retiring them at 1700. (Flags should be flown at half-staff.) Take a moment of silence and honor the memory of those men and women who sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy and cherish today.
Attached are photos of the USS Arizona and USS Utah, afloat, after the attack and today.
Each still lie where they sank, one on each side of Ford Island.
